Synopsis:
Filmmaker Oren Jacoby chronicles the journey of antiwar activist and former Catholic priest James Carroll as he uncovers the roots of Christian antisemitism and religious hatred all the way back to Constantine's reign and the New Testament.   Concerned, now, about a fervent rise of Evangelical Christianity in the American military, Carroll visits its epicenter at the US Air Force Academy. He then returns to Europe to trace his personal history and the centuries-old link between Christianity, violence and the religious intolerance that today threatens us all with a religious World War. Intelligent, provoking and timely, Constantine's Sword successfully shows how an institution founded on peace transformed into an exclusionist force that continues to wield power today.
